The Band

My Potential Suicide is a 2-piece punk band from Rotterdam, made up of Alex Kokee (guitar and vocals) and Koen Erkeland (drums). Their sound is influenced by hardcore punk, alternative, sludge metal, stoner rock, and grunge. With catchy hooks, powerful guitar riffs, and a raw, intense sound, My Potential Suicide brings a hard and energetic mix of these styles. In 2026, the band released their first fully self-produced EP, ‘Fading All That Isn’t There’.

I've been into loud rock music as long as I can remember. I've been playing guitar since I was 14 and have been writing trivial songs throughout my life time. Some of my favorite bands and artists are The Melvins, Kyuss, Acid Bath, Nirvana, David Bowie, Neil Young, The Wipers, Soundgarden, Brand New and The Beatles. Our sound is heavily influenced by them, especially the '80s punk and '90s grunge/sludge scene.
